American buttercream is made simply by creaming together butter and confectioners sugar with milk or cream. If desired, vanilla extract or another flavoring may be added. This is the sweetest of the buttercream icings.

 Italian meringue buttercream is made with whipped egg whites, sugar and butter.  It has the perfect balance of rich flavor and light fluffiness.  The addition of meringue makes this buttercream not overly sweet and it can be flavored with an endless variety of add-ins.

Cream Cheese Buttercream

Cream cheese buttercream takes our classic American buttercream with the addition of real cream cheese.  The cream cheese adds a delicious sweet and tangy flavor.  This style is traditionally served with red velvet and carrot cake, but is a great addition to any of our cake flavours.
